My Story

Hello, I’m Shawn May. I’m a business owner, technology architect, consultant, and mentor with more than 30 years of experience in Information Technology.

I began my career in the early 1990s and have spent the years since working directly with organizations to design secure technology environments, solve difficult problems, reduce costs, and help technology better support the business. I founded Dynamic Technical Solutions because I believed companies needed stronger technical leadership and practical solutions built around their actual needs.

Throughout my career, I’ve assessed existing environments, uncovered operational and security weaknesses, developed technical strategies, and designed solutions for major organizations. I work at both the architectural and hands-on levels, connecting business requirements with the technology, processes, and policies needed to produce real results.

I also understand how difficult it can be for technology professionals to grow while dealing with daily problems, administrative work, and constant demands. Many are expected to make major technical decisions without enough time, guidance, or hands-on experience.

That is why mentoring has become such an important part of my work. I want to share the knowledge and practical lessons that have played a key role in my career and success. I help technology professionals, business owners, and future technical leaders understand complex subjects, develop sound plans, solve difficult problems, and become more confident in their decisions.

I’m still a student of technology myself. I continue to design, build, test, and troubleshoot because staying hands-on keeps my knowledge grounded in the real world.
