Quick call out to businesses using or considering Microsoft’s Self Service Password Reset (SSPR). Just to put any questions to reset, this really is a proven, easy, secure and inexpensive method of providing a whole new level-of-service to and for your remote workers (it’s also incredible for on-Net folks who aren’t able to logon – you can literally place a link directly on the logon screen).

Those utilizing this simple, but powerful, feature know exactly what I’m talking about. Azure SSPR doesn’t just reduce support desk costs, but provides a more efficient alternative allowing remote workers to securely change or update passwords plus (as an incredible bonus) self-remediate account lockouts – thus returning them back to work even faster.

However, if acceptance-business-policies warrant otherwise (or perhaps other trepidation(s)), I encourage you to re-evaluate this tool. There are multiple built in methods to securing remote workers’ password registration and resets (e.g. from trusted networks, compliant or hybrid joined devices, etc.).
